After possibly the best year of #peakTV, how can 2016 top it? There are a ton of new and returning series we’re very excited about all throughout the year. In this era, they could all honestly be great. Here are ten shows we can’t wait to see in 2016. (Note: Not every show has a trailer or poster out yet)

The Arrow/Flash universe is getting a little bigger this winter when a bunch of superheroes that have already appeared on those shows unite as the Legends of Tomorrow. The Atom, White Canary, Firestorm, Captain Cold, Heat Wave, Hawkgirl, and Hawkman unite with time traveling newcomer Rip Hunter to fight Vandall Savage, an immortal for who takes over the world. It looks bonkers, but also like a hell of a lot of fun. (Jan. 21)

Return once again to the world of Breaking Bad for season two of Better Call Saul. As Jimmy McGill inches forward to Saul Goodman, expect this spinoff/prequel/whatever series to get a little darker. Everyone is back for a second season that has a lot of promises to keep. Hopefully, they’re better at keeping them than Saul is. (Feb. 15)

Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer may be tiding fans over with their hilarious Hack Into Broad City web shorts, but the struggle of waiting for season 3 is still very, very real. Not to worry, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. The third season of Jacobson and Glazer’s wonderfully irreverent comedy is coming soon, and will feature such epic plot points as a trip to the DMV, a rat in the apartment, going clubbing, visiting Abbi’s dad, and new job responsibilities. Oh, and a cameo from none other than Hillary Clinton herself. It’s safe to say that this show gets bigger every season, but with Jacobson and Glazer at the helm, that should only be something to celebrate. (Feb. 17)

HBO may have cancelled the series, which was just finding its groove and becoming amazing and revolutionary, but they did grant the creators a chance to tie things up with a TV movie. As one of our favorite shows of 2015 (it ended up on both of our top 10 lists), we can’t wait to see what’s next for these characters. As bittersweet as the ending will probably be. (Early 2016)

The most talked about television question of 2015 will hopefully get answered in season six of HBO’s epic fantasy saga. The poster even teases it. But as for the rest of the characters, they seem both farther away and closer together than ever before. Also, with winter finally arriving last season, the stakes are higher than they’ve ever been. Marvel’s first major TV hit (no, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. doesn’t count) is getting a second season in 2016 that promises some major characters coming into the fold. This year, Daredevil will introduce the Punisher and Elektra, two of the universe’s most popular heroes that haven’t showed up yet anywhere. Considering how they nailed Daredevil and Jessica Jones (and let’s be real, everyone else in the movies), this is a big reason to be excited for the Netflix series. (Spring 2016)

Mr. Robot‘s first season ended with a whirlwind of an episode which showed both the chaotic aftermath of fsociety’s biggest hack, and the disturbing way in which Phil and the rest of Evil Corp continue to move on as if nothing has happened. There are a million questions up in the air right now—exactly who’s side is White Rose on? How is the Dark Army connected to Evil Corp? What the hell is Angela doing??—but the finale has expertly laid the groundwork for what looks to be a fresh and thrilling season 2. The truth about Mr. Robot himself might be out of the bag, but it appears that was only the beginning. (Summer 2016)

HBO’s new high-concept series is based on the novel of the same name by the legendary Michael Crichton. It also stars Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright, and Tessa Thompson. It’s about the dawn of artificial intelligence in the old West. Need I say more? This has to be one of the most anticipated shows of the year. (2016 TBD)

5205South Park

After the show’s historic comeback season in 2015, South Park heads into season 20 next fall. Arguably Comedy Central’s most significant series may be a few years behind The Simpsons in terms of longevity. Quality is a different story. South Park found ways to be new again in season 19 that shocked its fans while also delivering some of the best TV of the year. Here’s to hoping they can keep it up for their big 20th season. (Fall 2016)

One of our favorite shows of 2015 got renewed by some miracle (hah) despite putrid ratings throughout its stellar second season. The Leftovers will be back in 2016 with a third and final season. But supposedly it isn’t HBO declaring this the end, but the show’s creator, Damon Lindelof, instead. We’re very happy this one gets to end on its own terms and without overstaying its welcome. (2016 TBD)
