‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia: The Anti-Social Network’ Review

Season 7 continues to produce winning episodes. This week saw the gang take on social networking after they visit another bar that used Facebook to get more customers. They also get shushed at the bar by a customer after their conversation grew louder as it usually does. The shushing led to two groups to go after the shusher; Dennis and Charlie, and Dee and Mac. Both of their adventures were hilarious.

Dennis and Charlie eventually ended up at the police station to get a sketch of the guy. The conversation with the detective was brilliant as was where they went afterwards. Naturally they did not find the shusher.

Dee and Mac used Facebook to try and find the shusher. However, they ended up in scenario that had a woman pretending to be multiple men on Facebook. I loved the reference to last year’s film Catfish. They also failed to find the shusher.

While all this was going on Frank wanted to create a viral (or virus as he midheard) video for Paddy’s Pub. The video ended up being the funniest moment of the episode. I also loved how Danny DeVito was barely in this episode as to give the audience a break while delivering some of the funniest moments from the half hour.

The Anti-Social Network was great but it did not deliver laughs as consistently as other episodes this season have. This is the only downside of this otherwise great episode. Five episodes remain for the season and if they manage to live up to the last eight, this might just be one of Sunny’s best seasons. (8.5/10)
