The iconic theme John Williams created for the original 1977 Star Wars will likely remain unchanged as the world-famous composer will return for the seventh film.

Director J.J. Abrams typically works with Michael Giacchino on his films, but how could he not turn to Williams for Star Wars Episode VII.

The composer has previously scored all six Star Wars films. He has won five Oscars, one of which was for the first Star Wars (the others were Fiddler on the RoofJawsE.T. the Extra Terrestrial, and Schindler’s List).

As a frequent collaborator with Steven Spielberg, his recent work includes Lincoln, War Horse, and The Adventures of Tintin.

Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy broke the news at Star Wars Celebration Europe.

Star Wars Episode VII is scheduled for a summer 2015 release. Check out an announcement video below, as well as the best damn piece of music created for a movie ever.
