There was not another show at the upfronts this year that was so clearly going to get picked up. This trailer will show you why.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. takes place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and is developed by Avengers director Joss Whedon and his brother Jed.

It also stars Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson, who you may remember was killed off in The Avengers. How he will be brought back is still a mystery.

The show will directly tie into the universe of the films, as the trailer shows clips from past movies of Iron Man, Thor, and the Hulk.

The show was officially picked up last week. It was announced this morning that ABC will air it on Tuesdays at 8pm starting in the fall.

This new trailer already has possible hints of another new Marvel superhero entering the mix, Luke Cage. But the show is said to primarily revolve around the powerless agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. dealing with strange happenings and unexplained mysteries.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. premieres this fall, but you can watch the trailer below!
