If you beat Mass Effect 3 you may have been disappointed by the multiple endings that are pretty much just three different colors. Well BioWare has at least partially listened, and is giving us an extended look at how this series wraps up this summer.

It must have been tough over at the BioWare offices this past month. After months of hard work put into Mass Effect 3, all fans could talk about was how disappointing the ending was. It must have been even tougher to accept defeat and decide to come up with something new. The free new DLC will include new cinematics and epilogue scenes to tie up the game a bit more.

My personal opinion, I’m excited to see what they are going to do here. Unlike a lot of fans, I think that at least one of the endings of Mass Effect 3 really works. That ending is the synthesis ending (green) largely because it solves a conflict that much of the series has been about. However, we do need some expansion on exactly what happens. How will the galaxy be affected now that the mass relays are destroyed? What happened to the rest of my crew, aside from the two or three who walk out of the crash site at the end? Where do the Reapers fit into this world? Hopefully all of these and more will be answered in the DLC, but we will just have to wait and see.
