NBC Delays Community Start Date, Future Uncertain

Fans will have to wait a little long to return to Greendale as NBC has postponed Community‘s season premiere and has yet to announce a new date.

The fourth season of the cult hit had already hit some snags when NBC fired series creator Dan Harmon. Now the network is claiming that they will hold the comedy back to focus on promoting their new shows.

Does this mean that Community could be switched from that dreaded Friday time slot? Or even held until mid-season? I see three possibilities.

The first is that NBC could cancel Animal Practice or Guys With Kids (maybe both considering Whitney has been held back as well) and put Community in that Wednesday 8:00/8:30 time slot.

Or, if Community gets held back to mid-season, it could take the place of 30 Rock, when it has completed its final season before the year is out.

The final possibility is that nothing will change and Community will just premiere a bit later in its previously announced Friday 8:30 time slot.

Many websites are predicting that this will actually be a good thing for the show. Let’s hope so, but in the meantime stay tuned. #SixSeasonsAndAMovie
