Next James Bond Entry Gets a Title…Skyfall!

The 23rd episode in the ever-going James Bond film franchise is finally underway with a press conference that revealed the title and some other details about the film.

The newest movie will be titled Skyfall, a far less wordy title after 2008’s Quantum of Solace. Sam Mendes will be taking a break from his usual dramatic fair to direct the film. He teases that locations include Shanghai, Istanbul, and Scotland and promises plenty of action.

As for the stars, Daniel Craig will return as Bond and we can now confirm that previously cast Javier Bardem will play the villain. Judi Dench will also return as M and it seems that Naomie Harris will play the Bond girl named Eve. Ralph Fiennes, who many, including myself, speculated to be playing a villain (might have something to do with a certain boy wizard) has a role that is yet to be revealed.

Only a few plot details were given. This is the brief plot synopsis revealed during the press conference, “Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her.  As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.”

Well, doesn’t this all sound exciting? Are you excited for James Bond to finally head back to the big screen? Production starts next week and Skyfall will hit theaters October 26th, 2012 in the U.K. and November 9th in the U.S.
