Spring is in the air, which for fans of a certain HBO series means winter is coming! We also have a few things that may be of interest this week at the movie theater. Here’s what not to miss this week.

Most network shows are beginning to wind down, which means some strange scheduling decisions as the networks try to figure out where everything may fit best. Fans of Mindy Kaling’s premiere season of her comedy series have a special treat with two episodes this week, one in the regular time slot, and another Thursday night. At least the former Office star isn’t forcing us to choose between her and the show that made her a star. (Tuesday and Thursday at 9:30pm on FOX)

If you’re a fan of Danny Boyle, you have something to look forward to this weekend. The esteemed director’s latest film is a mind bending psychological thriller starring Jame McAvoy, Rosario Dawson, and Vincent Cassel. The trailer is trippy and features a ton of dubstep, giving us another odd indie to look out for in the early parts of 2013. (In select theaters Friday)

As far as horror remakes go, they aren’t exactly something the critics look forward to. Yet the buzz around this one seems to be pretty positive. It stars just about no one, but the original has a cult fanbase larger than most cheesy horror films. That gives this one the potential to be big. (In theaters Friday)

About once a year we get a solid 3D rerelease that gets us back to the theater to watch a movie we already know we love in a new way. Last year we got Titanic, and this year we will be welcomed back to Jurassic Park. Steven Spielberg’s classic was practically screaming for the 3D treatment. That’s the perfect way this film can be introduced to the next generation. (In theaters Friday)

Season 2 upped the game considerably for HBO’s fantasy series. Season 3 is promised to be even crazier. Fans of the A Song of Ice and Fire book series call the third entry, A Storm of Swordsthe best of them yet. Now that the show has a devoted fanbase, expect no holding back from HBO. Luckily, winter is here once more, and it looks to be colder than ever. (Sunday at 9pm on HBO)
