A major week of finales coming up. But don’t let that distract you from a major summer movie release this week that thus far has gotten rave reviews. Here’s what not to miss this week.

The Wachowski’s adaptation of the beloved novel was one of the more divisive films of 2012. Some called it a mess while some embraced the larger than life themes. I found myself more on the latter side, enjoying how ambitious and unique it was. It still didn’t quite all come together for me, but this is hardly a film you can completely absorb in one viewing. Now’s our chance to take a second analytical look at this debated epic. (In stores Tuesday)

It’s been a great first season with the fall’s best new comedy. But it will all come to a close this week, at least until season two. The season finale might see Mindy go to Haiti with her new reverend boyfriend. Whether she goes or not, it’s going to be a long summer without our favorite group of doctors to visit every week. If there was a “Most Improved” award at the Emmys, don’t you have a feeling this show would get it? Arrow will conclude its first season this week as Oliver tries to stop Merlyn from destroying part of Starling City with his earthquake device. The previews promise one final(?) confrontation between Arrow and the Dark Archer. But the better question might be what side will Tommy land on? (Wednesday at 8pm on the CW)

It’s been a long and bumpy road for the NBC comedy, but even the Michael Scott missers can’t deny how wonderful the last two episodes have been. The finale takes place six months after the airing of the documentary for Dwight and Angela’s wedding. We know that Kelly and Ryan will return, and rumors are swirling about Michael. But beforehand, NBC News put together an hour long special about the series. Get those tissues ready folks. (Thursday: NBC News Special at 8pm, Series Finale at 9pm)

J.J. Abrams’ second, and possibly last before he goes off to a galaxy far far away, film in the rebooted franchise has a chance to be the best movie of the summer. With the cleverly cast crew of the Enterprise from the 2009 film returning, and Benedict Cumberbatch as the villain, expect one of the best Star Trek films to date. (In theaters Friday)
