Try as they may, movie studios continue to make events out of trailer debuts, only for them to get leaked online some time before.

Last night, the teaser trailer for next year’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of the Justice leaked. Now we have the official HD version from Warner Bros.

The first half of the preview feels very much like a follow up to Man of Steel, as various voices weigh in on Superman’s significance to the world, both good and bad. Two of those voices are of Holly Hunter and Jesse Eisenberg, the latter of whom is playing Lex Luthor.

Immediately following is a voiceover from Jeremy Irons, who plays Bruce Wayne’s butler Alfred Pennyworth in the film. He talks about good men turning cruel as we see Batfleck for the first time brooding in the face of his cowl. Then there’s a Batplane and a Batmobile, as well as some shots of Batman in his regular costume before he dons his robotic suit to fight Superman.

It ends with Batman asking, “Tell me, do you bleed?” as Superman lands in front of him. “You will.”

This is pretty much exactly what we expected from the first trailer. It’s a minimalist look at the film that sheds no light on any plot points besides Superman being asked to pay for his crimes and Batman being the one to possibly make that happen. There’s no real look at Wonder Woman or Lex. For now, it’ll have to do.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice soars into theaters March 25, 2016. Check out the trailer below.
