Fans of Nickelodeon’s Avatar: The Last Airbender rejoice! A premiere date has finally be set for the sequel series The Legend of Korra! And that date is…

…Saturday April 14th at 11 am! You can find reviews here on The Filtered Lens every Saturday morning after the show airs (there are so few things I will wake up early for on a Saturday, but damn it this is one of them).

The new show is set 70 years after avatar Aang defeated the firelord and restored peace to the world. The world has advanced a lot since then, the heart of it being Republic City, a place thriving in technology where benders of all elements co-exist peacefully. The show’s heroine is the new avatar, a girl from the Southern Water Tribe named Korra. She has already managed to master water, earth, and fire bending, traveling to Republic City to learn air bending. Her teacher is none other than Aang’s son.

The Legend of Korra has potential to be just as great as the original show. Several trailers have already been released, but if you missed all of those, take a look below.
