The Top 10 Jim and Dwight Pranks on The Office (Video)

With The Office finishing this week, we are feeling really nostalgic. The show has been on for nine years! For this writer those years were all of high school and college. Jim and Dwight’s friendship has almost developed from a high school level to a college level, going from unruly freshman to college seniors congratulating each other on achieving their life goals. Since Michael left the pair have been the heart of the show. But it wouldn’t be The Office without pranks. So here are the ten best over all nine seasons, excluding the finale of course. With clips!

Pam and Jim have gotten each other some pretty classic Christmas gifts over the years, but this is one of the best. This is what happens when Dwight starts getting letters from the CIA.

Season eight and nine may have a seen a significant dip in quality after Michael Scott left, but Jim and Dwight had quite a few classic moments, both sweet and hilarious. The great thing about this prank is the lengths Jim, as well as Pam, went to make it land.

A genius prank. Jim is up early as his sleep schedule has not really adjusting to becoming a father, so he prepares a little surprise for Dwight in one of the more elaborate pranks in the series’ history.

Jim may be in Stamford for the first episodes of season three, but that doesn’t stop him from messing with Dwight. When Michael and Dwight call him to find out of Gaydar is real, he sends them a gag gift, which Dwight, of course, takes seriously.

The prank that started it all. This is the moment in the pilot where we get our first indication of the nine years that would follow of office hijinks. It’s simple, but an instant classic.

Another simple, yet classic prank. Pam being in on it helps make it another cute moment between the two before they were a couple. Of course, the crux of the joke is at the expense of Dwight. Check it out at the link below.

An obvious classic as Jim performs the Pavlov experiment on Dwight. The worst part is the sounds Dwight makes with his mouth at the end, but it’s very classic Jim performing this one.

Photo Credit: Mussolini’s Speech- Dwight’s Speech (Season 2, Episode 17)

This prank is so good that the episode is named after it. When Dwight wins a salesman award, Jim gives him some tips on how to conduct his speech. The tips are speeches from previous dictators, most notably Benito Mussolini.

It’s brilliant. We, and Dwight, think it’s one thing and it turns out to be another. This is one of the funniest Office moments ever because it’s smart and simple at the same time. Merry Christmas Dwight.

It really speaks for itself. Best cold open of all nine seasons.

Jim usually has the upper hand in his pranks, but one Christmas he lost. After throwing a snowball at Dwight in the office, Dwight comes back with multiple attacks, even coming out of a snowman in the parking lot. It ends in a Hitchcock-esque victory for Dwight.
